11 percent of Americans use antidepressants, study finds | |

January 02, 2012 Data released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has shown that 11 percent of Americans ages 12 and older used Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil or other antidepressants.Women were prescribed the pills more than men, according to national surveys that asked people over a four-year period ending in 2008 if they had taken the medication in the past month.
