150 strangers, 1 uncle lay starved Barrington baby to rest | |

August 01, 2014 Mya Edwards, the 7-month-old from Barrington who starved to death in January, was laid to rest Thursday in a tiny white coffin with a Minnie Mouse doll and surrounded by more than 150 strangers and just one person that knew her during her short life. "I am grateful for this service for my niece," said Joaquin Edwards. Mya's parents have been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
