December 08, 2014 The numbers tell the story of video gambling's legalization in Illinois two years ago: More than $10 billion statewide has been poured into 20,552 machines. On a local level, Fox Lake -- population 10,537 -- has netted $317,000, and its average business has raked in almost $185,000. The state's cut of that action was almost $1.6 million.
