October 07, 2010 Adrienne Berkowitz has participated in a variety of fundraisers for the American Cancer Society and will continue to do so as often as possible. Adrienne has met a lot of new friends and built a great support system through her participation in the Relay for Life. New York, NY - In an effort to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society a pay tribute to her late father, Adrienne Berkowitz has continuously participated in events and donated generously to the American Cancer Society. Adrienne Berkowitz most recently participated in a Relay for Life event and raised $5000.00 "The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease." States The American Cancer Society website. Adrienne views these events and her donations as a way to help celebrate her father who passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. "If my donations can help save one family from the tragedy of losing a loved one from this horrible disease', says Adrienne Berkowitz, "then I'll do whatever I can to help." For Adrienne Berkowitz, Relay for Life isn't just a fundraiser; these events have allowed her the opportunity to bond and find healing and comfort in those that have dealt with losing someone to cancer.
