Antioch man charged in slayings held without bond | |

November 05, 2013 A Lake County judge ordered an Antioch man held without bond while awaiting trial for the murders of his wife and mother after prosecutors this morning outlined the grisly details of the women's slayings. Prosecutors said in court this morning that Varner killed his wife with a machete then suffocated his elderly mother with a towel and plastic bag.
