Arlington Hts. shooter had criminal past, cop expected to recover | |

December 14, 2013 Arlington Heights Police Officer Michael McEvoy is in an induced coma and facing more surgeries as he recovers from a gunshot wound to the face suffered during a hostage situation Thursday night, but he is expected to recover fully, police say. The shooter, Eric Anderson,41, of Niles, had a long criminal record and was recently the subject of an order of protection from the woman he took hostage.
