About Armando C.L. Chavez
Armando Chavez is an economic damages expert and financial analyst at Echelon Analytics. Mr. Chavez has over seventeen years of experience in financial and litigation consulting. His areas of expertise include intellectual property damages analysis and calculations including reasonable royalty, lost profits, convoyed sales, price erosion, defendant’s profits, as well as other quantitative analysis such as valuations and commercial damages. Mr. Chavez has provided financial analysis and valuation assessments on patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright issues and has provided expert witness testimony. He has also assisted in license negotiations and conducted royalty compliance reviews.

During his career, Mr. Chavez has had significant involvement with company and law firm personnel in the identification of relevant market, financial, and economic information, and the development of damages scenarios. Mr. Chavez has consulted with Fortune 500, multi-national, and mid and small-sized companies across a wide range of industries. His industry experience includes the consumer products, telecommunications, medical/pharmaceutical, sporting equipment, Internet/software, oil & gas, automotive, computer storage, construction, financial services, chemical, entertainment and semiconductor sectors.

Mr. Chavez has also taught as guest lecturer on the determination of economic damages in litigation and the valuation of intellectual property.

Prior to joining Echelon Analytics, Mr. Chavez was a Senior Director at FTI Consulting and a Consultant at Technology and Financial Consulting. Mr. Chavez holds a Masters of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station. Mr. Chavez is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF).
