Armed Forces & Veterans launch AF&V Privilege MasterCard(R)

June 04, 2013

The Armed Forces & Veterans today announced the launch of their AF&V Privilege prepaid MasterCard, offering up to 10% cashback for serving personnel and veterans of the British Armed Forces and their immediate family.

The AF&V Privilege MasterCard is an initiative that has been developed by former Servicemen and commercial experts, to benefit serving and veteran Servicemen and women and their dependants. The AF&V Card is globally accepted in-store, online or over the phone, at over 35 million retailers and ATMs anywhere the MasterCard acceptance mark is displayed.

Marion King, President, MasterCard UK & Ireland, says: "MasterCard is committed to helping all sectors of society and our Armed forces and veterans deserve a product that helps them pay wherever they are in their unique circumstances."

The card is pay-as-you-go without any risk of getting into debt. With no transaction fees, no monthly account fees and free load methods it can be used as a cost-effective and secure payment method in the UK and abroad.

Cardholders who use their AF&V Privilege MasterCard to shop at over 100 selected retailers - such as M&S, Argos and Homebase - receive up to 10% cashback onto their card. David Shaw, Director of AF&V explains: "It is possible to add up to 4 additional cardholders to an AF&V Privilege Card account, so the whole family can enjoy the benefits of earning cashback directly into their accounts with our retail partners. Cardholders are guaranteed to receive cashback on top of any discount offered and signing up for our AF&V Card does not require any credit checks."

In addition to earning cashback, signing up for the AF&V Privilege Card will give cardholders free membership to Armed Forces & Veterans Estates, an organisation set up by veterans for veterans and serving members of the armed forces, offering huge exclusive savings on property. Ken McMillan, Managing Director of Armed Forces & Veterans Estates says: "The complementary membership of AF&V provides cardholders access to massive discounts on residential and investment property opportunities, at prices considerably lower than those available on the open market."

The AF&V Privilege Card channels revenue generated from the programme to support Service charities and charitable activities, providing accommodation, education and training coupled with employment support. For further information about the AF&V Card visit www.afvg.co.uk.
