February 15, 2013 A 150-foot asteroid hurtled toward Earth's backyard, destined today to make the closest known flyby for a rock of its size. In a chilling coincidence, a meteor exploded above Russia's Ural Mountains just hours before the asteroid was due to zoom past the planet.
