At least 10 horses die in massive McHenry barn fire | |

April 12, 2012 At least three people ran through a smoky McHenry stable freeing horses as flames quickly spread through the building Wednesday night, but trainers say about 10 horses died in the blaze. The five-alarm fire that destroyed the 20,000 square-foot building brought fire crews from 20 departments to the scene at 101 W. Bay Road about 5 p.m., officials said.
