January 02, 2015 Two women wound up in a tie delivering the first babies on New Year's Day in Cook and Lake counties. Preston Cozzie Jr. entered the world at 12:01 a.m. Thursday at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, as did Maximus Edward Maise at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Lake Barrington.
