January 31, 2013 James Creighton Mitchell Jr., a perennial Republican candidate from Lindenhurst who had intended to run for seats on four government boards in April, can't do so because of potential conflicts of interest, officials have ruled. He will remain on the ballot for the Lake Villa Public Library District board. "I'm disappointed that this was an oversight on my part," he said.
