Capricorn wins number 1 spot in awards from Elevator magazine

June 03, 2013

Capricorn Strategies is awarded its 4th industry award this year, raising eyebrows from industry peers.

In a marketplace that is becoming ever more investment-led and performance-driven, Capricorn Strategies was established to provide unique investment advisory services. Supervised by the Danish financial authorities, Capricorn has assembled a team of investment professionals with a deep understanding of investing in the G-10 currency universe. The FX G10 fund seeks risk-adjusted returns, which are uncorrelated to other investment strategies by trading the most liquid assets available to investors, the currency majors. Its strategy is long term, fundamental seeking alpha opportunities in most market conditions by benefiting from currency arbitrage and exchange rate differentials. The fund utilises currency forwards with a directional bias in the "carry" component of the strategy. Risk is tightly controlled via a dynamic hedging strategy aimed at reducing the exchange rate risk.

This award from Elevator magazine brings the tally of awards for Capricorn Strategies to 4 for the year so far in 2013. Capricorn Strategies has also managed to acquire first and second placing in awards from Nordic Hedge Award, Investors Choice Awards and The International Hedge Fund Awards. Currently in 2013, Capricorns three currency fund vehicles are all in positive territory which is a prime example of the results which are expected of such a high class currency fund.

The top performing vehicle for Capricorn so far in 2013 is FX G10 CHF fund which is giving a return of over 5%. Capricorn's two other vehicles are also performing in positive territory with the FX G10 EUR giving a return of just under 5% and the FX G10 USD giving a return of just above 3%. Capricorn Strategies also operates 2 managed accounts to which it provides currency trading to private and institutional investors.

Should the returns on investment continue for the remainder of 2013, then we can only see Capricorn pushing forward to be a world leader within the currency hedge fund world.
