April 19, 2011 Castanea Wealth Management has launched its Mumbai office. The firm aims to provide investors multiple investment options with simplicity, transparency and efficiency. It has hired experienced personnel from the industry to quickly achieve its aim of becoming the most trusted financial advisory firm in India, its vision according to Sandip Raichura, its co-founder. Castanea Wealth Management has kicked off its Wealth Management operations out of Mumbai. The firm, founded by Sandip Raichura, ex Business Head at Pinc Money, aims to advise middle to high income investors on a range of investment options including stocks, mutual funds, insurance, real estate funds and portfolio management services. As per its website, www.castaneawealth.com, the firm aims at "becoming the most trusted Indian Financial Advisory firm". Says Sandip Raichura, "Our objective is to take private banking to the public. Most Indian investors are not happy currently with their advisors and brokers as they get partial views on markets , biased by the need of the advisor to generate income. In addition, markets and opportunities are becoming increasingly complex while inflation is tending to remain high - presenting new challenges and risks for the average Indian investor. We have developed a platform where the customer gets comprehensive , unbiased advice across opportunities and the investor gets a complete view of her finances at one spot. In addition, we are engaging with external experts to ensure our advice is neutral and unbiased. In addition, we are investing into customer friendly technologies to ensure the busier investors and non resident Indians stay connected with us 24 by 7". The firm also intends to enter into the tax consulting and legal areas over a period of time to allow the clients to also manage personal and sensitive affairs like will writing , trusts and bequests. The firm is also looking for partnerships in this space especially with international brands with strong platforms and is currently shortlisting such partners. As per a report, the firm is keen on tapping the large base of NRIs in the middle east and east Asia.
