Community helps Palatine family earn free roof | |

September 27, 2013 Heather and Scott Thornton of Palatine were always the leaders in a free-roof contest held by Peterson Roofing Inc. of Mount Prospect. "They led all the way," company Vice President Jim Peterson Jr. said. The Thorntons were declared the winners this week, and they will get their free roof next month.
