Controlled propane burn lights up Libertyville | |

December 05, 2014 North Shore Gas is burning off residual propane from tanks at a tank farm in Libertyville in advance of removing them to make way for a new investment. The facility at Route 45 and Peterson Road was built in the mid-1960s and later expanded as a soure of fuel during times of peak demand. Flames may be seen for miles, according to the company.
