Cubs reportedy land big prize: Jon Lester in 6-year, $155 million deal | |

December 10, 2014 The Cubs, along with the other contenders in the Jon Lester derby, remained in wait all Tuesday. That wait apparently ended early Wednesday morning as reports said the prized free agent agreed to terms with the Cubs. The ace who played his entire career with the Red Sox before being traded to the A's this past season, reportedly has agreed to a six-year, $155 million deal with the North Siders.
