October 03, 2019 Disabled Veterans Charities Carefully Vets Organizations Before Making Grants. REDLANDS, Calif. - Last year, Americans gave $427.71 billion to charity, according to Giving USA. But how do donors know if they are supporting organizations where their dollars will count?
