Driver hurt after car crashes through West Chicago garage | |

August 30, 2014 A man was flown to an area hospital Friday morning after the car he was driving left a West Chicago roadway, struck the side of a house and then continued into and through a garage, authorities said. Nearby resident Brad Janssen said he heard a "big bang" when the crash occurred. "Came outside, heard a bunch of sirens. Had to come over and take a look. Went behind the house, saw all the firefighters -- about 30 firefighters behind there, wenching the car out of the garage," Janssen said.
