Drivers flocking to suburban stations with cheapest gas | |

March 26, 2012 Drivers are crowding some gas station parking lots trying to take advantage of relatively low gas prices at stations like the Shell at the corner of Rand and Lake-Cook roads. Because this location is in Lake County just outside the Cook County border, it can offer cheaper prices than nearby stations due to lower tax rates.
