Elgin's Lowrie school marks 125 years | |

September 20, 2014 Former and current teachers, students and employees of Lowrie Elementary School will mark 125 years since the Elgin school opened its doors Sunday. Officials are hosting an open house from noon to 2 p.m. at the school, 264 Oak St. Families of students, alumni and community members are invited to view a history exhibit and tour the school.
