FEMA tours flood-damaged Des Plaines homes | |

May 01, 2013 A team of local, state and federal officials Tuesday toured flood-damaged homes in Des Plaines, Wheeling and unincorporated Cook County on Tuesday to assess the extent of flood damage. "This is one of the first steps. All of that information feeds into what goes to the governor and he requests a federal disaster declaration," said a FEMA spokeswoman.
