Fire guts downtown Mt. Prospect restaurant, leaves residents homeless | |

February 10, 2014 An early morning fire Sunday in downtown Mount Prospect left a Japanese restaurant gutted, residents homeless, businesses without power, streets closed and the immediate future of a popular bakery uncertain. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Another casualty was the office of the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce.
