August 22, 2022 Christopher Dobbins, a 31-year-old Crystal Lake native, was selected earlier this year as a flight director at NASA. He leads a team of flight controllers, research and engineering experts and support personnel around the world to safely accomplish NASA's human spaceflight missions.
