July 21, 2011 Rochester employees raise money for the MVA Hope Foundation. One of Rochester's newest corporate citizens continues to give back. Foundation Financial Group employees came out with their canine companions on Saturday, June 18, for the MVA Hope Foundation's Third Annual Dog Walk-A-Thon. Established in 2008 by Monroe Veterinary Associates, the MVA Hope Foundation helps financially limited pet owners pay for emergency and specialty services needed by their pets. "Many of our employees are pet owners, and we strongly support the MVA Hope Foundation's mission of helping pet owners who have financial difficulties with the costs of pet care," said Darren M. Ross, Foundation Financial Group senior vice president and division general manager. "We appreciate charitable work because we know there are many unmet needs in our community. Aiding this organization is one way we can be good corporate citizens." The Foundation Financial Group team donated to the MVA Hope Foundation. In total, the event brought in about $7,000 and attracted the participation of 50 dog walkers. Foundation Financial Group's Rochester center opened on Jan. 31.
