'Founding father' of Schaumburg parks dies | |

February 27, 2012 Bob Bock, a founding father of the Schaumburg Park District, died Sunday at the age of 80. Nearly 50 years ago, Schaumburg's then mayor Bob Atcher enlisted Bock's help to start the district ahead of a proposed Elk Grove park district that had an eye on the same territory.
