Geneva businessman, outdoorsman found dead in golf course creek | |

December 27, 2014 John Gaines originally intended to visit the gym Friday but decided it was too nice of a day. So he decided to take advantage of another chance to spend some time around one of his favorite places -- the golf course, his daughter said. Geneva police said the body of Gaines, 74 -- businessman, outdoorsman and husband of Jean Gaines, the president of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce -- was found in a creek on the golf course.
