Geneva honors those who rescued boy from dam | |

September 07, 2011 The Geneva City Council thanked seven private citizens, plus police officers and firefighters, who tried to rescue two people from drowning in the Fox River in August, saving one of them. "What is so unusual in today's world is they (the bystanders) put their safety aside, then entered the water to assist people in need," Olson said.
