Go3 Hydroplane and HomeStreet Bank Aim to Make Splash at San Diego Bayfair

September 16, 2015

HomeStreet Bank to sponsor popular Turbinator hydroplane at upcoming San Diego Bayfair event.

The world's fastest piston-powered hydroplane, Miss HomeStreet Bank, will be competing in this year's Bayfair as part of HomeStreet Bank's sponsorship of the racing team.

Miss HomeStreet Bank, often known as the "Turbinator" because of its abilities to compete against - and sometimes beat - more advanced turbine-powered hydroplanes, will be racing as the only piston-powered boat in the fleet.
According to Rick Bowles of the Miss HomeStreet Bank Go3 Race Team, it is also the fastest piston-powered hydroplane in the world. It has an innovative hull design and an adjusted design to lighten it, making it competitive with the other racing teams.

"The partnership between Go3 and HomeStreet Bank is a great fit," Bowles said. "As a racing team, we do things differently and have challenged perceptions, just like HomeStreet does things differently and challenges perceptions in their industry."

The San Diego-based HomeStreet Bank team, as well as CEO Mark Mason, will be attending this year's Bayfair.

"We are excited for Bayfair and to see how Miss HomeStreet Bank does," said Mark Mason. "We're fairly new to the San Diego region and look forward to local events like this to introduce ourselves to the community and get to know our new neighbors."

Now in its 95th year, Northwest-based HomeStreet Bank is a diversified financial services company with 102 retail deposit branches and lending centers in the Western United States and Hawaii. For more information on HomeStreet Bank, please visit www.homestreet.com.
