Gurnee police dog Shane retiring after eight years in the job | |

May 19, 2014 Gurnee's German shepherd crime fighter is calling it a career. Police dog Shane, who's been on the force since 2006, will walk away after working a special Memorial Day weekend safety checkpoint Friday.
