November 05, 2013 What swayed some suburban legislators to vote in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage Tuesday, helping it gain approval in both the state House and Senate? State Reps. Tom Cross of Oswego, Ed Sullivan of Mundelein and Ron Sandack of Downers Grove were the only House GOP members to vote "yes."
