September 27, 2019 Many shopping malls across the suburbs lack security barriers at entrances to large individually owned anchor stores, although the barriers typically exist at doors leading directly into the malls. A driver exploited that inconsistency Friday to drive an SUV through a Sears entrance and nearly as far as the center court at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.
