Howard to be sentenced today for Hoffman Estates murders | |

July 09, 2014 D'Andre Howard, convicted in May of firt- degree murder in the 2009 stabbing deaths of three members of the Engelhardt family in their Hoffman Estates home, is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without parole today. The only question remaining is the sentence Cook County Judge Ellen Mandletort will impose for Howard's conviction on the attempted murder of Shelly Engelhardt, wife of Alan, mother of Laura and daughter of Marlene.
