Hundreds sickened by norovirus at Algonquin school

Westfield Community School in Algonquin has a suspected outbreak of the norovirus raging through the school. When absenteeism spiked from 17 students absent on Wednesday morning in the elementary school to 109 Thursday, Principal Bill Doran knew the school had an issue on its hands. More than twice that number called in sick Friday.
