October 12, 2012 Daniel Baker of Deerfield has been found to be mentally fit to stand trial for the April 2010 murder of a 50-year-old Vernon Hills woman.Lake County Judge Daniel Shanes ruled Friday morning that Baker understands the charges against him and is able to assist defense attorneys in his trial, scheduled to begin Monday in Waukegan.
