Lake County sheriff calls for prosecutor to be fired | |

December 02, 2011 Citing what he called was "a 16-year record of outrageous statements" Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran said he has demanded the termination of an assistant state's attorney. Curran said he met with State's Attorney Michael Waller and insisted that Assistant State's Attorney Michael Mermel be fired. "I am disgusted by his comments," Curran said.
