Lake County trying new technology for traffic light system | |

July 29, 2014 The Lake County Division of Transportation is using a new technology that allows for real-time collection of traffic data and signal timing. The first corridor is being installed along Aptakisic Road in Buffalo Grove, and a second is being considered for Gilmer Road near Hawthorn Woods. "If it were a holiday or if it were a snowstorm and people went home early, it reacts to actual traffic," Paula Trigg, a county engineer, said.
