Lawsuit: St. Charles art dealer lost $103,000 French lithograph | |
February 09, 2013 An insurance company has sued a St. Charles art dealer for $103,000, arguing the dealer lost an original lithography by the French artist, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. "Artistide Bruant dans son Cabaret, 1893" is regarded by some as one of Lautrec's most recognizable pieces. The defendant in the case has had financial problems, including a foreclosure that a bank started but later called off. Source: http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20130208/news/702089673/ |
