"Life-threatening" cold on the way | |

January 06, 2014 The second half of a brutal one-two punch of winter weather lands Monday morning as dangerously cold conditions that experts describe as "life-threatening" grip the suburbs. The high temperature is predicted to be about 7 degrees below zero, with many parts of the Chicago area getting no warmer than 15 degrees below.
