Man charged in ‘one punch' death gets $2 million bond | |

July 30, 2014 A Cook County judge this morning upheld a $2 million bond for a Palatine man accused of throwing an unprovoked punch that fatally injured a 26-year-old man outside a bar. Michael Platt, 35, appeared in court for the first time since authorities filed new first-degree murder charges against him alleging he killed Ryan Flannigan with a punch thrown during a July 18 altercation in downtown Palatine.
