October 14, 2011 A march against gang violence and in honor of a recent 5-year-old victim is planned Saturday in Elgin. The march is being organized by Elgin residents Elias Juarez and Oscar Sanchez, both in their 20s and former gang members. Juarez knows the family of Eric M. Galarza Jr., who was killed Oct. 7 in what police called a gang-related shooting as the car he was riding in pulled out the family's...
