McHenry sheriff: Shooter ready to ‘finish off' wounded deputies | |

October 21, 2014 McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren said a shooter opened fire on two deputies without warning. Both were hit and "conscious, but probably incapacitated," he said. Another deputy returned fire and forced the shooter back into his Holiday Hills home Friday. "I'm sure he would have finished the job on the two officers who were on the ground."
