Merchant Cash Advance Company Max Advance Partners with First Data Processor

May 06, 2011

First Data is set to process Max Advance's acclaimed merchant cash advance services. Max Advance will use First Data's "batch-splitting" program to provide secure, stable small business financing.

Prominent merchant cash advance provider Max Advance recently announced a new relationship with First Data Merchant Services Corporation, a credit card processing company. First Data will use "batch-splitting" to enable First Data ISOs and their merchants to easily repay Max Advance's business cash advances.

"This new partnership will allow ISOs in the First Data network to offer Max Advance's business cash advance services directly to new merchants, in addition to marketing our small business financing programs to their existing merchants," said Michael Puderbeutel, CEO of Max Advance.

With First Data's batch-splitting services, merchants will be able to repay MaxAdvance by delivering an agreed-upon portion of their daily card sales via the credit card processor. Batch-splitting is a popular way for merchants to repay merchant cash advance providers, offering benefits for both parties.

The daily payments, for example, reduce the financial risk to merchant cash advance companies, allowing them to finance a wider selection of merchants. Batch-splitting services also reduce to risks to merchants, as they can count on using a predictable portion of their cash flow for repayment. Finally, batch-splitting allows merchant cash advance providers to better monitor the effects that business size, seasonal trends and other factors have on their merchants.
