Metra, Pace and the CTA waste money, RTA chief says | |

September 15, 2013 RTA Chairman John S. Gates hopes a state panel will hear his calls for more oversight of Metra, Pace and the CTA. His latest plan calls for consolidating purchasing, arguing it will save money. But Pace officials say Gates is wrong. "We're disappointed and frustrated that once again, Chairman Gates has issued a memo that mischaracterizes events," Pace spokesman Patrick Wilmot said.
