Near-record heat and oppressive humidity expected today | |

August 25, 2014 Just in time for kids to be back in school, temperatures are expected to soar into the 90s on Monday, approaching a record high and producing a heat index that could be one of the worst so far this summer, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service predicts a high of 91 degrees at O'Hare International Airport, just four degrees off the hottest Aug. 25 on record.
