January 08, 2015 Before it became North Central College President Troy Hammond's home in 2013, the house at 409 E. Chicago Ave. in Naperville was responsible for more than $30,000 a year in property taxes. Now, the three-story, Victorian-style house that had a $1.2 million "fair market value" when it became part of the private college's campus is exempt from property taxes. Here's why.
