New hearing ordered in 1996 murder of Aurora boy | |

June 19, 2012 An appellate court panel orders a new hearing on whether a 35-year-old man convicted in the November 1996 murder of 6-year-old Nico Contreras had ineffective counsel during trial. Mark A. Downs was sentenced to 70 years for the murder.
