New O'Hare runway: Which suburbs get noise now? | |

October 18, 2013 As a new runway at O'Hare International Airport opened Thursday, new turbulence lies ahead over noise and a promised but elusive western terminal. Sections of Bensenville, Itasca, Park Ridge, Des Plaines and Wood Dale will get an earful. It should get a little quieter in Elk Grove Village, Franklin Park and Northlake. And nighttime noise?
