NIU marks 5-year anniversary of shootings | |

February 14, 2013 After a gunman opened fire at Northern Illinois University five years ago today, the school vowed to move "Forward, Together Forward." And that's just what it's done. But the tragedy, and the young lives lost, will never be forgotten. "That day is forever part of the fabric of Northern Illinois University," said university spokesman Paul Palian.
