Obama calls spotlight Kirk's role in gun debate | |

April 11, 2013 For the second time in as many months, President Barack Obama has reached out to Senator Mark Kirk. Obama called the Highland Park Republican, who occupies his old Senate seat, to talk gun control late Tuesday. Kirk has taken a leading role on the issue, one that the President can't afford to lose.
